Last Wednesday Henry & I took the train to St. Louis in preparation for my Grandma's 90th birthday party. I wanted to get there a few days early to help get everything ready, but knew that I couldn't get much done with Timmy there, so just Henry and I went early. Unfortunately I came down with quite the cold and didn't end up getting as much accomplished as I'd hoped, and spent most of Thursday laying around. Friday was a bit better and Henry and I went to the Soulard Farmers Market with my aunts to buy flowers for party. We took them back to my Aunt Paddy's to make the table arrangements and also had a lovely lunch with the birthday girl! After a quick rest for Henry (and some shopping for me!!) my Dad and I went over to Granny Franny's for the pre-party party!

Most of Saturday was spent getting ready for the festivities. I'm going to do an entirely separate post about my lovely Grandma and her party, but I will say the party was lovely. Everyone seemed to have a great time, but most of all my amazing Grandma had a blast. It was a fantastic night that I know I'll remember the rest of my life. Oh.... there was one little downside. Towards the end of the night someone was running around like a crazy man, tripped & split his eye open, and now we have this...
Poor pup! I tell you, sometimes being a boymom is stressful stuff!
Sunday we slept in late (ok I slept in late! the boys had a rough night and I was up a lot, so Tim took them in the AM and I went back to sleep!), visited with some family, and then headed back to Chicago. No trip to/from St. Louis is complete without a Steak N Shake visit so we stopped on the way home. It was delicious as always! I took a picture of Henry while we were there and thought it would be fun to compare to Steak N Shake Timmy around the same age. I think Timmy was a month or so older, but still a fun comparison!
We're home now and plan on relaxing today and getting back into the swing of things. It was a great weekend, but now it's back to normal. Happy Monday friends!!!
