Thanksgiving Day

I'm thankful. 

Thankful for loved ones. 

Thankful for health. 

Thankful for turkey. 

Thankful for trains that entertain 2 year olds for hours on end. 

Thankful for sunshiny days. 

Thankful for showtunes.

Thankful for hugs.

I could go on and on. I'm so blessed, and there is so much to be thankful for. And once again I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by so many of those people who I am thankful for, and who have brought so much to my life. I'm thankful for the memories we have created, and those that will come. 

I'm thankful for these dapper boys, all decked out to go to Granny Franny's. 

Oh how thankful I am for all of that food. And for a family that managed to squeeze  so many people into one long table!

I'm so thankful that Timmy has cousin Charlie close in age. I love that they will grow up together, and will hopefully always be good buddies. 

St. Louis trip catch up!

Hello everyone! Sorry about the posting hiatus. We were having a great week in St. Louis with family and I didn't get a chance to post. So... in the next day or two I'll be doing some catch up. First up playtime fun!

On Monday Timmy & I went out to Creve Couer park to look at the lake and play at the playground. We were hoping to get a chance to go to Uncle Jimmy's to see his puppies, but after naptime it became a stormy day and we didn't get the chance to make it out there. Luckily we had a beautiful morning and had a fun time at the park!

Tuesday Timmy & I headed out to Faust Park to visit the Butterfly House with our friends Abbey & Max. We've never been to the Butterfly House and Timmy was so excited to go. On the car ride there he kept yelling "I'm coming butterflies!" We had so much fun with Abbey and the adorable Max. We even rode the carousel (which is the cause for Timmy now thinking he's a cowboy! lol). What a fun day!

Go Rams!

Timmy went to his first football game today. Captain Spoiled Boy got to go to the game in a luxury box courtesy of Grandma Kiki & Grandpa John. (Papa Pete was there too since his seats are right by theirs!) Timmy had a blast in the box with so many of  his C family relatives. Wrestling with Uncle Jim, tickles from Auntie Gracie - so much fun!

The highlight of the game was when we got to take these magical special passes and go down to seats ON the field. Timmy really loved it - especially the cheerleaders!! I tell you, this is one lucky kid!! 

At first he wasn't excited to go to the game... but this pic cracks me up. As does that hair!

The cheerleaders were the highlight of the game for Timmy. After they danced by he looked longingly at them and said "do it again!"

Christmas Card Outtakes

We attempted a Christmas card photo shoot today. Attempted. Timmy wasn't the most...errr... cooperative. Eventually I tried to bribe him with various things in hopes that he would get with the program! Haha. I think I got a few decent shots out of it, and I'm sure I'll manage to get a cute card when all's said and done with! I thought I'd go ahead and share a few of the outtakes with you. I'm in a Box

I haven't taken any pics this week (i'm ashamed....) but we did make a cute little video! My cousin Maggie has been requesting a video and I finally got Timmy to comply. I also ordered some shoes which came in a big box which Timmy has been thoroughly enjoying. He decided maybe Maggie would enjoy seeing him play in it! I now present to you "Hi Maggie/I'm in a Box."

A Walk in the Woods

We knew today was going to be lovely, and who knows how many nice days we have left (sad....), so we decided to head out to the Morton Arboretum and have a lovely walk in the woods! It was a great place for photos, so I brought Timmy's 2nd Birthday shirt along and snapped some shots of him. Yes I know his birthday was about a month ago, but I am just now getting around to it! A Special Treat

We've all been sick this week. Timmy's nose started running on Halloween, but he was still in good spirits, which how could he not when there was an unlimited supply of candy and you get to run around the neighborhood like a crazy person?!? Anyway.... by Monday he was sick with a cold/flu style illness. By Monday night I had it. By Tuesday I was dying. Wednesday? Oh yeah, Tim has it too. Needless to say it wasn't the most exciting week at the Carey household! Friday was the first day that we were feeling better, and goodness me we needed to get out of the house!

I told Timmy we were going on an adventure. Ok, maybe I exaggerate from time to time! Part one of this "adventure" was really a trip to the bank! Woohoo! Needed to deposit some checks so the bills get paid! But the next part was in fact an exciting adventure. I decided to be Mom of the Year (you may take this seriously or sarcastically, after you're done reading I leave the choice up to you!) and took him to Molly's Cupcakes. Nevermind it was nearly dinnertime and he ate next to nothing for lunch... I wanted to give my boy a treat! And what a treat it was. I even let him have a full size cupcake instead of the mini. Alright, so not super organic healthy eating here, but if you'd seen my sick boy all week you'd want to give him something special too! And let me tell you, it was worth the sugar high to see that boy so happy!
