Chicago Nesties GTG!

This Saturday, September 28, Timmy and had a great playdate at Lincoln Park Zoo with a bunch of moms & kiddos that we met on an online mommy forum. Many of us have been online friends since we were pregnant, so it was a blast to meet many of them in person, and to see some that we've already met again. There were 13 adults & 13 kiddos. These pics won't all be of Timmy Boy, but I'm sure you'll agree all these kids are adorable! I can't wait until we can get toegther again!

afterwards Brooklyn came over to play with us before her flight back to Ohio

Brooklyn loved Timmy so much she was strangling him to try and give him a kiss! His head was covered in Brookie slobber when she was done with him. Hehe! (no Timmy's were harmed in the Brooklyn loving!)

Family Grounds Fun

Today Timmy and I decided to check out Family Grounds Cafe. Family Grounds is a local cafe with a huge indoor playspace. It was really neat and I know will be a great space for Timmy and I to hang out as the cold weather approaches. The play area had a house with a kitchen, a market, a school area, a little ones place, trains, trucks, blocks, and more. They also had a wonderful lady working there doing art projects with the kids and making sure all the moms and kids were introduced to one another. I am really excited about this new find! Of course I got a few fun pics while we were there.

Welcome to the World Baby Charlie!!

Last Thursday, September 17, Timmy's cousin Charles Patrick Flatley made his grand entrance into the world. We were lucky enough to be driving to St. Louis so we got to see Baby Charlie, and his very proud parents, Brian and Katie. We look forward to these boy cousins having a lifetime of fun together!!!

Apple Picking Fun!

Saturday, September 12, Tim had the brilliant idea of going apple picking. I'd heard of a place in Wisconsin, about an hour and a half away from Chicago, called Apple Holler that had apple picking, hay rides, pony rides, a petting farm, restaurant, and more. It was a gorgeous day and we had so much fun. It was definitely an activity we'll want to make a tradition!

As usual Timmy's favorite part was petting the goats!

This photo is my favorite. I love that happy face!

9/11 - 11 Months & a Tribute

It's September 11, 2009. It has been 8 years since that horrific day that shaped all of our lives. Living in NYC from 2000-2007 were some of the most memorable and wonderful years of my life. For the last 3 years of my time in NYC, as many of you know, I lived 2 blocks south of Ground Zero. On a daily basis I saw the destruction, which is something you never become desensitized to, but I also witnessed a beautiful regrowth. Today Timmy is 11 months, so in honor of my beloved NYC, and all who gave their lives on 9/11 I had him wear his I LOVE NY shirt. My thoughts and prayers are always with all New Yorkers, everyone who lost a loved one on 9/11, and everyone who is working to rebuild NYC and our country.

Museum of Science & Industry

Well I've been trying to upload this post for almost a week now, but I recently got a new operating system on my computer, which was having glitches and not letting me use blogger! I think it is fixed now, so fingers crossed I can continue updating the blog!

Last Monday, Labor Day, we went to see the Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. It was awesome, but unfortunately you can't take photos in the exhibit, so I don't have any cool movie memorabilia to show you. I do however have some pics from the rest of the museum. Enjoy!
